Scripture
Psalm 1:2-3 - Instead you thrill to God's Word, you chew on scripture day and night. You're a tree replanted in Eden bearing fresh fruit every month, never dropping a leaf, always in blossom.
God's Word is the cornerstone. When we thrill ourselves to God's Word something happens. There is a cause and effect relationship. God's Word = always in bloom, bearing fruit regularly.
Interestingly we do not bear fruit always, but monthly. Even connected to the lifesource there is a cylcle. Though we always blossom, we bear fruit in a cycle.
I take this to mean that we are always renewed by the Word of God, but only in season do we bear fruit. The cycle is blossom, pollinate, become fruit, ripen, get plucked, renew. A cycle is healthy. Every part is critical to the whole. It's OK to rest!
When we get out of balance we interrupt the cycle. But the cycle can also be interrupted by an external blight...if we disconnect from the lifesource.
I want a healthy cycle. Renew me.
