Job 9:14 - So how could I ever argue with him, construct a defense that would influence God?
Job is so right. And, so wrong. He's right. God the creator of the universe is so beyond our thought process that we can't argue or influence him. It would be like a kindergartner debating a senior in high school. No competition. BUT this Almighty God of the universe wants to hear from us and in relationship is influenced (to a point obviously) by us.
God listened to Moses. God listened to Abraham. God listened to Gideon...to Solomon...the list goes on.
God cares about our desires and dreams and passion, and "allows" us to influence his plan - although he already knows and has created a plan that has room for our input. He's the big.
Thank you for caring enough to listen. May my prayers be filled with the things worth caring about.
